Architects

We take great pride in our designs and work reputation, and are keen to ensure we do all we can to help the Architect deliver as much Architectural flare as the budget can absorb.

Our Engineers want to deliver striking buildings with elegant solutions. We want to try and minimise the impact of structure on building users and future flexibility. We want to encourage hung structure, clear spans, portalised solutions that omit bracing and we want to work closely with the Architect to ensure we can deliver that without a cost compromise. With close collaborative working the features needn’t always have a cost penalty and together we deliver better buildings for clients and contractors.

The alliance between Architects and Structural Engineers has never been tested as rigorously as in the previous decade, but we are determined to ensure it stays strong. The dominance of Design and Build contracts and tendency towards cost effective solutions has ultimately resulted in a dumbing down of architectural flare in modern buildings in favour of simpler structural solutions.
