Cambria STEM Talk at Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg

October 24th, 2018

Cambria actively supports local education initiatives with two of our employees most recently attending Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg, Bro Eern in Penylan, a district in the East of Cardiff to deliver a STEM talk to the secondary school students. The talk was based on what Engineering is and how the students could progress with their studies and get into the profession. We felt that this talk was important due to the students being at the key point in life where they are making decisions that will impact their future career path. The talk succeeded in persuading 8 pupils to apply for an engineering degree course.

Our engineering team have really enjoyed giving their time and sharing their passion for their profession to the students so much so, that we now find ourselves supporting one of our own team on his journey to become our first STEM ambassador.
